visit www.genvote.org to learn about the GA's 2008 youth voter engagement initiative, Generation Vote.

Generation Vote (GenVote) members have come together, bridging campuses and communities, collaborating across sectors and issues, to engage young people from historically disenfranchised communities in the political process. We are working to promote increased youth participation in the 2008 elections while at the same time build the relationships, strategic vision and institutional capacities necessary to create long-term systemic change.

Each GenVote member is an influential and trusted leader in its field, is national in scale and impact, has a track record for collaboration and prioritizes the leadership development of marginalized youth, including young people of color, LGBT youth and youth of lower income. We are united in the belief that the young people most directly affected by the social, economic and environmental policies up for debate this year are the natural visionaries and leaders of social change. Grounded in this principle, we aim to move the issues and perspectives of impacted young people from the periphery to the very center of the national dialogue.
