The mission of The Gathering for Justice is to build an intergenerational movement, rooted in history, cultures and nonviolent direct action. Our purpose is to heal communities, build collective strength and generate an environment of hope and opportunity. The Gathering is focusing to address issues of Youth Incarceration & the Juvenile Justice System.
The Gathering is an interracial intergenerational movement promoting coordination among individuals & community based and national organizations working with youth. “The Gathering” as a national organization creates this coordinated space to fortify relationships, support local endeavors and enhance ongoing nonviolent direct- action training, aiming to strengthen the capacity & moral environment of the movement.
